About

Following the traces of a living story.

The Mushkil Gusha Institute is an independent space for research, storytelling and living transmission.

At its centre is Mushkil Gusha — a story that has travelled through languages, places and generations, taking different forms along the way.

The Institute follows these traces in manuscripts, printed versions, oral tellings, recordings and contemporary retellings. It does not seek a definitive version or a binding interpretation.

The public rooms

A work in progress

Built to grow with the work.

The Institute creates spaces in which the story can be read, heard, compared and experienced in its different forms. What is uncertain remains uncertain; what is newly found can change the picture.

The aim is not to explain the story once and for all, but to make its traces, variations and living transmission accessible with curiosity, care and respect.
